Heteropolis Below The Surface
Heteropolis, BELOW THE surface
La Biennale de Montréal – L’avenir / Looking forward
– Oct 2014 > jan. 2015.
Intervention
Behind the scenes of the service and cultural industry, Adaptive Actions, in collaboration with workers from the Hilton Bonaventure Hotel, Place des Arts, 1000 de la Gauchetière and the Musée d’Art Contemporain of Montréal, explores the communal spaces and the hidden truth of the work environment of the inner city and its underground. For this project, realized during the Biennale of Montréal, AA invited several workers to submit their own photographs to characterize their strictly utilitarian work environment, often deprived of all sense of design. A printed journal covering the installation of the photographs and the experimentation of the diversity in those places will be distributed during Art Souterrain.
